Foreground Plants for Aquarium “Hyophila Involuta or Star Moss or Cement Moss” – Hyophila Involuta (Hook.) Jaeg., or known as cement moss that is aquatic moss plant from family Pottiaceae. Cement moss often called star moss or twisted moss. In the market, this moss plant known as “Tortula Ruralis.” This aquatic moss plant can found in the Pacific, the Middle East, North America, Asia, South America, South Africa, North Africa and Australia.

It can live in many types climate, including deserts, boreal areas, arctic and temperate areas. This plant grown in grassland, tundra, sagebrush, coniferous forest and another habitat types.

Star Moss is a lawn-forming moss with upright shoots. It has leaves like tongue grow densely and has spiral shapes around the stem.
